Breaking News...
So as I mentioned on my last post, we went to the doctor yesterday for our ultrasound. We are pretty sure that we're having another...
...BOY!!!!
We're excited to be having a little boy. We aren't 100% certain yet that it's a boy, but we did see something there on the ultrasound, so chances are pretty good. At first I got the feeling that we were gonna have another girl, but the week before we went to the doctor, my intuition was telling me that it would be a boy. I know Jacob is very excited to have a little brother, and Kera is happy about it too. She doesn't seem too disappointed. I think they'll just love have a little baby in our home to take care of and to play with.
That's our excited news for now. I go to the hospital for a detailed ultrasound next month, and hopefully the baby will be 100% healthy. Now it's time to start figuring out boy names...Hmm, decisions, decisions. My cousin Emily suggested a real winner to me. A friend of hers from high school is having a boy and they're naming him Yah-ya. She was hoping they're joking. That probably won't be making the list.

Entertain Yourself...
Some of you may remember this smiley matching game from Christmas time. Here is one in honor of Mother's Day coming up. Now you can have something fun to do while you wait to find out what we're having! And I even updated my music list so you don't have to listen to the same boring old songs that I had on my blog forever. This is especially for you sis cuz I know you need something to do to keep yourself busy at work! :)

Tomorrow...
You'll be wanting to check out my blog again soon because we find out tomorrow (hopefully) what the sex of our baby is. As long as the baby cooperates we'll find out the sex. I'm really anxious to find out what we're having, although it feels good to have the pressure off now that we have a boy and a girl already. Will Jacob be getting a little brother? Or will Kera have a new little sister? Find out tomorrow!!

Easter Time

We had a good Easter weekend. I've never taken my kids to an Easter egg hunt before where other kids were out hunting eggs, we always just do one in our backyard, but this year I decided I'd take them to the one sponsered by Kaysville City. The hunt started at 10 a.m. sharp, and it said don't be late! So I made a special effort to get there on time (or so I thought). I thought by leaving at 9:45 we'd be alright, it was only at the park downtown, so we get to the stoplight right before the park, and traffic is backed up for a block or two. There were a ton of cars and as we get closer we see the huge amount of people out on the fields. Okay, so we weren't the only ones with this idea! Well I dropped Dave and the kids off at the front of the park and I went to find a parking spot. Luckily I saw one close by on the road. When I got to the field, I looked hard to spot Dave and the kids. They just barely made it there before the countdown, but unfortunately they were in the wrong age group. There were 3 age groups on 3 fields, and Dave picked the oldest age group (8 and up I think). They had two other groups (0-3) and (4-6) either of them would've been better. But they tried to race against the big kids, and ended up with no eggs! Dave actually lost Kera in the commotion, and she was by herself with big kids running all around her. I can just imagine her there screaming and crying. A couple kids were nice enough to help her and one actually gave her their big chocolate bunny. So the time was up and Dave and the kids came out. I couldn't even get in there to help them with all the people. So they came out and the kids were very upset. This didn't go as well as we hoped. But they gave everyone a stuffed animal on the way out, so Kera got a little stuffed lamb that she was happy about. While we were walking out a boy even gave Kera quite a few of his eggs out of his basket. So they had some candy by the end. And with our own hunt and the easter baskets the easter bunny brought them, they aren't hurting for candy by any means. We learned our lesson about getting there EARLY if we decide to go to this egg hunt again. (If the kids aren't scarred from it already).

So later on Saturday Dave's sister Carrie and her husband Travis came over. We had our yearly backyard egg hunt and we dyed some eggs, then had a BBQ. So most of our easter stuff was done on Saturday. on Sunday we just stayed home and relaxed from the day before.

Here are a few pictures from our backyard hunt and some on Easter Sunday. Hope you all had a great Easter this year!

Swimming fun
Here are some pictures of Kera, Maya, and aunt Cheri swimming at the South Jordan rec center. It was our niece Cora's 2nd birthday party and they had it at the rec center. The kids had a blast swimming in the large pool, but they didn't get a chance to swim for very long because after we had dinner and birthday cake, they went out to swim, and about 15 minutes later the employees made everyone get out of the pool. They were closing the pool down because one of the lights fell into the pool and it was a safety hazard. Or maybe they just wanted to close early and get out of there early on a Saturday night! They had fun for those few minutes though! Aunt Cheri was nice enough to take Kera down the hippo slide because she was afraid to go by herself.

Flashback Friday!!

So I really think this is a fun idea, and the past few fridays have come and gone and I've forgotten to post a picture. Here's a couple pictures of my family growing up. One is a basic Olan Mills portrait, and the other one is from a ward Halloween party one year. You can tell that the family portrait was taken back in the 80's (I believe 1986 cuz I was about 8) because of my dad's moustache and the feathered hairdos.

In the halloween one we have Staci (the clown), Chris (the cowboy), Jeff (Charlie Chaplin), Mom (train conductor), Cheri (the witch), Dad (the hillbilly?) and baby Tommy (Casper the Friendly Ghost)

Good times!!
BTW-(The pictures are really small, so if you click on them it will enlarge them for you)
I don't know why the layout ends up like this with the white background when I upload scanned pictures, but oh well, I'm no computer whiz!

Kera puts on a show

Sorry for the lapse in blog posts. I could blame it on the fact that I'm pregnant and therefore have been unable to get on the computer quite so frequently, but really it's because I've been lazy. I decided to get the camera out the other day and do some videos of Kera so everyone can see how this little girl entertains me on a daily basis. She is getting much more outgoing and loves to have the spotlight on her, as long as she's not in front of a big group. I guess I should say she loves to have my attention on her at all times. I can see myself enrolling her in a dance class very soon. Here is a day in the life of Kera Noelle. Reminder: To stop the music that's playing in the background, just scroll down to the music list at the bottom of the blog and click on the stop button.
