Happy Fathers Day!!
I want to take a minute here on my blog to say how thankful I am to the wonderful fathers in my life. The first being my own father who I was lucky enough to have raise me and to show me what a true father is. Someone who is selfless and one of the most generous men I know. He treats my mom like a queen, and has always been known by everyone as "Mr. Fix-It". He really can fix just about anything. Growing up I always felt special and loved. I know that it is by his love and great example that I can be the woman, wife and mother that I am today. Thank you dad for being such a great father, and now such a great grandpa to my kids. They love him and think he is just the greatest guy, which he is.
I also want to give my own great husband a tribute this father's day because he is also such a wonderful father to our two (soon to be three) children. He is so supportive of the things I do, and he teaches our children important values and life lessons that they so desperately need to know. He works very hard to provide for and take care of our family so that I can focus on being at home with our kids. I love how he is always thinking about ways he can be a better dad and he tries everyday to show the kids that he loves them. I am very thankful that I have him in my life, and I am glad that he is the wonderful man that he is. Happy fathers day to both of these special dads. And a happy father's day to all of you dads out there! The world would not be the same without fathers.

Miss Unibrow
With quite a bit of scrubbing and makeup remover, it finally came off. But not before I got a picture and a big laugh out of it. At least it wasn't the scissors this time!June 7, 2008
Jacob's 6th Birthday Party
Like I said in my last post, Jacob is growing up. He just celebrated his 6th birthday on May 29th. He had some friends over on his birthday, and thank goodness all his friends could come on such short notice. We had just gotten back from California Monday night and I gave out the invitations the day before, on Wednesday. He had 5 friends over for his party, then on Sunday we had Dave's sister Carrie and her husband Travis over along with my dad, who was visiting for the week.
Jacob had a great birthday, and I am sad to see him get another year older, but also I look at all of the things that he's learned and accomplished this past year in school and how he is maturing, and I'm very proud of him.

Jacob's officially a 1st grader
We had Jacob's kindergarten graduation last Thursday. He has moved up from the kindergartener stage and will be going into 1st grade in August. I can't believe how time flies! He will be going to real school now, all day long. It will be strange having him gone all day, but I know he is ready for it. I told him last week after he turned 6 that he can't grow up anymore. He needs to stay little. He thought that was funny that I wouldn't want him to grow up. But he's still my baby, my firstborn. I love this little guy, even if he does have to get older and move on to new things. It's all part of life I guess.

This video was so funny to me. I love watching him and all his classmates "rock out" to the song "Rockin Robin". His teacher's name is Mrs. Robbins, hence the reason for singing this song.

Here is a slide show of our trip to California and to Disneyland that we took in May. I looked at the date on my last post and realized it's been a whole month since I've posted anything. I have a lot to catch up on! I'll be posting more pictures soon of Jacob's kindergarten graduation, tball, Jacob's 6th birthday, etc. So keep checking and I'll try to put up some new posts soon!

We decided to go for a walk today as a family since it was such good weather outside. As we were getting ready to go, Kera ran out to the garage on got on her bike. She asked if she could ride it on the walk. I said sure. She found her cowboy hat in the stroller and put it on. Out of the garage she rode as fast as she could with her cowboy hat yelling "yee haw!" It was hilarious. I had to get a picture of her in her get up.
